On Friday, we had a great time at the Japanese summer festival🎐We all danced the Bon Odori dance, played the watermelon hitting, and looked at the food stalls in an indoor gym. Children liked Yo-yo (water balloons) fishing very much. This is a popular activity for kids during the festival in Japan. They ate shaved ice while enjoying the festival. They also made chocolate-covered bananas for an afternoon snack, ate yakisoba for lunch, and experienced the delicious food of the festival🍉🍧🍌Unlike Singapore, summer in Japan only lasts about two or three months. Artskidz children could feel the precious Japanese sentiment towards summer through the festival. ... Vesak Day, also known as Buddha Day, is one of the most significant festivals in the Buddhist calendar. It commemorates the birth, enlightenment, and death (parinirvana) of Siddhartha Gautama, the founder of Buddhism. The date of Vesak varies each year, typically falling on the full moon of the lunar month of Vesakha, which usually corresponds to April or May.Celebrations of Vesak Day include various rituals such as chanting, meditation, and making offerings at temples. Devotees often engage in acts of charity, reflecting the teachings of compassion and kindness central to Buddhism. In many countries, colorful lanterns, processions, and the bathing of Buddha statues are common practices. Vesak Day serves as a reminder of the Buddha's teachings and an opportunity for Buddhists to reaffirm their commitment to these principles.bless Vesak Day to every one from all Over the world. ...
