Frequently Asked Questions

When can my child join Arts Kidz?

We have a continuous enrolment policy. This means that your child can join Arts Kidz any week

during the school year provided that the class is not full. For the younger age groups, we typically start with

half-days until the child is ready to progress to our full day programme.

What is your Grade Placement System?

Arts Kidz places students based on their date of birth following the Ministry of Education’s School Calendar.

Japanese students aiming to join a Japanese Primary School may be placed according to the Japanese system

with the approval of our Principal and Japanese coordinator.

Please note the following age guidelines:

18 months to 2 years – Pre-Nursery

2 to 3 years – Nursery 1

3 to 4 years – Nursery 2

4 to 5 years – Kindergarten 1

5 to 6 years – Kindergarten 2

What documents are needed to enrol my child at Arts Kidz?

Arts Kidz require the following documents to enrol your child:

– Completed application form

– Child’s birth certificate

– Child’s Singapore Citizenship Certificate, if not a Singapore Citizen at the time of birth

– Child’s entry or re-entry permit if they are Singapore Permanent Residents (PR)

What is the Arts Kidz school year like?

Following the Ministry of Education’s Academic Calendar, our school year begins in January

and finishes in November. The school year normally consists of four 10-week terms. There is a

one-week holiday after the first and third terms (March and September), a four-week holiday after the

second term (June) and a six-week break at the end of the year (December).

Usually, we provide holiday programme activities during June and December holidays.

My child cannot speak English. Can he or she still join Arts Kidz?

Yes. Young children are natural language acquirers especially when attending a school with an

inclusive and supportive learning environment. A large number of our Arts Kidz students joined us

without ever having attended an English speaking school. With the help of our

Second Language Coordinators and Lead Teachers, students will gradually

develop their English language proficiency.

My child needs a Student Pass Visa. Can you help?

Yes, our school can assist with the Student Pass application. Approval is subject to a variety

of factors evaluated by Singapore’s Immigration and Checkpoint Authority.

What is your fee structure like?

The school fees depend on your choice of programme (half or full day) as well as

whether your child will be joining our bus service and after school club.

Please book a Campus Discovery Tour to learn more.

Do you have a school bus service?

Yes. Our Bus Service Provider provides a door-to-door school bus service

to most areas located within a reasonable distance of our school.

What are the school times?

Half Day: 7am to 12:00pm

Full Day: 7am to 7 pm

Curriculum Hours : 9am to 3pm

After School Club Activities: from 3:30pm onwards

Will my child be ready for Primary 1 at a Local or International School?

After graduating from K2, our students join Local Primary Schools, International Primary schools

and Japanese Primary schools. We support parents with the progress by completing documents and

forms requested by your child’s new school. Please refer to our Testimonials page

for further details regarding our families educational experience at Arts Kidz
